Ribbon Cutting Held For Sonora Regional Imaging Center
Sonora, Ca — Members of the community got a first look at the newest offerings of Sonora Regional Medical Center Tuesday afternoon.
A ribbon cutting and open house was held at the new 11,000 sq. ft. Imaging Center located on Covey Circle off Greenley Rd. and Cabezut Rd.
According to SRMC, the new technology/offerings of the center include:
Open Bore MRI – Accommodates larger patients and is designed to alleviate claustrophobia.
64-slice CT – Allows a physician to see a detailed 3D image of the inside of the body.
Digital Mammography – Reduces radiation exposure by up to 30 percent.
Ultrasound – Provides images of a developing baby as well as detecting vascular disease, stroke and more.
X-Ray – Used to diagnose common bone injuries as well as conditions of the lungs and chest.
