Calaveras Route Designation Public Meeting Rescheduled
Sonora, CA – The U.S. Forest Service has announced the rescheduling of the Calaveras Route Designation public meeting for Tuesday, March 20 from 5pm until 8:30pm at Independence Hall located at 1445 Blagen Rd. in White Pines.
The meeting will focus on a discussion proposal for travel route designation on the Calaveras Ranger District. The discussion will include the roads transportation system and travel off of designated roads for parking and camping. These meetings relate to Step Three of the Forest´s Route Designation process in which forest recreation managers work with the public to identify a sustainable and manageable system of roads and trails that provide access to a variety of activities on the Calaveras, Mi-Wok and Groveland Ranger Districts.
The Summit Ranger District already has roads and trails managmenet standards and guides in place.
