Tuolumne County Womens Network Awards Scholarships

Sonora, CA — Thanks to the Tuolumne County Women´s Network, five local women have received scholarships totaling $4,000.

The winners´ list includes Jeri Lawler, Loretta Brown, Lara Ford, Megan Wallace and Jaime Tuggle. Lawler is pursuing a masters degree in nursing, Brown a paralegal degree, Ford an associate degree in Forestry and a bachelors degree in Geology, Wallace a bachelors degree in nursing and Tuggle an associate degree in nursing.

Each woman was judged as having a clear career goal and well as a plan for giving back to the community.

This year´s fundraising auction is set for Wednesday, September 19th at five o´clock at the Sonora Elks Lodge.
