Sonora Pair Booked And Released On Numerous Charges

Sonora, CA — Late last week the pair of 25 year old Matthew Vernon Cliburn of 18300 Yosemite Rd. in Tuolumne and 23 year old Jeffery Daniel Johnson of 18855 Dusty Trail in Sonora were arrested by sheriff´s deputies on a number of charges.

Thursday, August, 16, deputies went to the Dusty Trail address to serve an arrest warrant on Johnson on a charge of possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies discovered that another individual at the residence, Matthew Cliburn, had several grams of methamphetamine for sale on his person. He also had a backpack with an additional amount of meth, a set of nunchakus (an illegal weapon) and a recently stolen cell phone from a burglary that had taken place between August 9-12 on Hardin Flat Rd. in the Groveland area.

Both were arrested, booked and released with a promise to appear on the respective charges.
