I am a sophomore in high school and considering a medical career. Do you have any advice?

There are many careers in medicine to suit many personalities.  In general, medicine favors individuals with humanistic qualities and skills in math and science.  Basically, you have to want to help sick people, and have the academic skills and mental focus to get through the training.  Volunteering or working in an entry-level medical position is a good way to get your feet wet.
