How successful is treatment of prostate cancer?

If caught early, prostate cancer can be cured with no recurrence by surgery or radiation. However, once the cancer has spread beyond the prostate, chances of curing the cancer are very small.

The prostate is a gland only present in men. It contributes to the fluid in semen but doesn’t do much else. It can cause a lot of problems.
