Yosemite Starts Offering Digital Passes To Speed Up Entry

Yosemite, CA — In an effort to allow vehicles through the gate more quickly, Yosemite National Park is now offering digital entry passes.

They can be purchased through Recreation.gov up to two days before a visit to the park. They are downloaded onto a phone or digital wallet. It will allow tickets to be purchased ahead of time and avoid delays while passing through the entrance gates.

Traffic often gets backed up in the park, especially during the peak season.

The new offering also allows for the purchase of digital America the Beautiful passes that cover entrance fees for all National Park Service sites for 12 months.

Daily vehicle entrance fees into Yosemite for US residents are $35, and $100 for all individual non-residents (over the age of 16). US residents can also buy a yearly Yosemite pass for $70 (not an option for non-US residents).

America the Beautiful passes are $80 for US residents and $250 for non-US residents.
