Freeze Warning Through Thanksgiving Day
A Freeze Warning has been issued for the Motherlode through 10am Thursday. Additionally, a Freeze Watch has been issued from late Thursday night through Friday morning.
Overnight minimum temperatures range from the upper teens to the upper twenties and below freezing temperatures last for eight hours or more in the coldest areas.
The coldest morning will be on Thanksgiving (Thursday).
Record or near record minimum temperatures are possible in several locations.
Damage to unprotected outdoor piping will be possible. These conditions will kill sensitive vegetation and cause damage to citrus plants, nut trees and nursery stock. Protective measures should be taken and completed.
A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent.
