Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration At Sonora High

Sonora, CA — The Sonora area Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual Birthday Observance Committee is putting on a celebration Sunday January 15th.
Committee member Pat Cervelli says the theme for the 11th annual event is Celebrating Unity in Diversity.
The event will feature speakers, dancers and musicians to honor Dr. King´s legacy. Slated to perform are two students, who will do an interpretive dance to a recording of Dr. King´s “I have a dream” speech.
The event is free to the public and Cervelli hopes to fill the 500-seat auditorium at Sonora High School for the 2:00pm program.
