Sonora, Ca — The winner of the Tuolumne County Sheriff-Coroner race will not be known until Thursday.
County Clerk and Auditor Debbie Russell says they are still working to process the 2500 plus absentee ballots that were dropped off on Election Day. She says they hope to have a good idea of who the winner is by 1pm Thursday.
On Tuesday, Jim Mele left the night with a 231 vote advantage over Tom Memmer. Russell says there are no new numbers to report. They will start running the ballots through the machines tomorrow morning.
