Murphys, Ca — A two-story house fire in Murphys is now under control.

Allen Columbro with the CDF says crews responded to the home just after 3 o´clock this afternoon. He says the house sits at the end of Skunk Ranch Road off of Pennsylvania Gulch.

Columbro says no one was at the home when fire fighters arrived. Live wires were reported down next to the house. It appears that the home may be a total loss.

The cause is currently under investigation.
