Search and rescue crews are looking for a Chico woman who fell into the Middle Fork of the Tuolumne River near Camp Tawonga, near Yosemite National Park.
“She was looking at the rainbow from the water coming off the falls, when she slipped and fell approximately 20 to 30 feet,” said Lt. John Steely in the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s office.
21-year-old Casey Jackson and another woman were injured on Saturday, and an ambulance headed to the scene. One woman was treated by medics, but Jackson was last seen floating in the river.
Steely says crews have found the woman’s backpack, but that’s all so far.
