Fire officials say children playing with matches touched off a five acre wildland blaze in the Golden Oaks Subdivision in Jamestown yesterday afternoon.
The fire burned in thick stands of oak trees, brush and dry grass in steep terrain between 7th Street and Golden Oaks Drive.
Crews got it surrounded with the help of helicopter water drops, eleven fire engines and three hand crews. The fire was fully contained shortly after two p.m.
