Jamestown, CA — An interactive forum is planned later this week to help shape the vision for Jamestown’s “Rails with Trails” project.
It is part of an effort to create new recreational trails that integrate with the area’s railroad history. The meeting will be led by the Jamestown Happiness Project, in partnership with the Tuolumne County Transportation Council and the Blue Zones Project.
Participants will have a chance to learn more about the concept, share hopes for the project’s future, and collaborate with community leaders and local organizations.
Organizers say the event marks a key milestone in the funded planning phase for the project, which has been underway for the past two years. They are hoping to hear from people who “live, work, and play” in Jamestown.
All ages are welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served. The meeting will be held from 6-8 pm, Thursday, October 16, at the Chakachi-no Learning Center at 18141 Main Street in Jamestown.
