Beef – It’s What’s For Labor Day

Sacramento, CA — Beef is so popular this time of year, sales usually rise 20 percent.
The California Farm Bureau says there will be plenty of beef available for the Labor Day weekend.
According to the California Beef Council, beef demand has been strong throughout most of the summer. A small dip was reported during the heat spell in July.
Cattle and calves are the number one agriculture industry in Calaveras County bringing in $10 million in 2005.
The Farm Bureau says ranchers are optimistic that demand will remain good in the coming year.
