Fresno Motorist Injured In Sonora Accident

Sonora, CA — An two-vehicle accident at Mono Way and Hess Ave. caused one serious injury Thursday afternoon
Just before one o´clock, 41 year old Martin Javier Zuniga of Fresno was attempting to make a left hand turn from eastbound Mono Way to northbound Hess Ave. As he did so, his 2005 Ford pickup truck was struck from behind by a 1997 Toyota Camry driven by 80 year old Ama Treena McGowan of Sonora. Witnesses say McGowan, heading northbound on Hess Ave., sped through the red light at more than 80mph. The impact caused Zuniga´s pickup to roll over several times.
He was airlifted to Doctor´s Hospital in Modesto with a crushed left arm. McGowan was not injured.
