The Search For Jennifer Mellera Continues

Murphys, CA– The search for 33-year old Jennifer Mellera continues.

Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department officials say it´s been about 31 hours since the stay at home mom of a five-year old son was reported missing. Reports indicate the Sheriff´s Department has been searching in the area of Murphys and Rural Murphys.

The State Office of Emergency Services has also been contacted to assist in the search efforts. Officials say a total of about 100 trackers/ground searchers, six dogs´ teams, and a CHP helicopter has been deployed to locate Mellera. The search has been extended to the outer laying areas of Murphys and Angels Camp.

She is a white female, is 5´6” and weighs 125 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes. She has an earring in the top lobe of her right ear and several rings. She was last seen wearing a black nightgown or shirt. Any persons with information relating to the search is encouraged to contact the Sheriff´s Department at 209-754-6500.
