Mother Lode Calcutta Raises Funds For Students
Jamestown, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Posse is happy with the results of last nights Mother Lode Calcutta.
The local calf scramble teams were escorted by Round Up Queen Kim Silva along with the other 3 contestants and auctioned off to raise money for local high school scholarships.
5 year Sheriff´s Posse veteran Jim Campidonica was the bar tender at last nights Calcutta and he says the place was packed.
He says usually the teams that win gets $3,000 and this year it is going to be around $5,000.
Campidonica says now it´s time to get ready for the busy weekend ahead, starting with the Parade at 10am followed by the Rodeo at 2pm.
