AAA Alerts Teenage Drivers About High Cost Of DUI
San Francisco, CA — With prom right around the corner AAA of Northern California is warning students that drinking and driving could come at a high price.
A first time conviction for a DUI can cost up to $12,000 in fees and fines.
Sean Comey with AAA says that many young drivers will act responsibly because they don´t want to be responsible for a tragedy, however Comey says others need to be reminded of the financial consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs to convince them to obey the law.
AAA also reminds graduating students that there are safe and sober alternatives for prom and graduation celebrations.
