Peterson’s Defense Team Charged $229,000 to Stanislaus County

Stanislaus County officials have learned that Scott Peterson´s defense team charged $229,000 to the county for experts during his double-murder trial last year. Supervisors were told of the bill during a midyear budget review last night. A judge had sealed the request for funds as required by state law when a defendant runs out of money to pay for his defense.
