Lungren To Visit District, Previews Presidential Address
Democracy in Iraq, the war on terror and Social Security are expected to be some of the key themes when President Bush addresses the nation tomorrow.
Third District Congressional Representative Dan Lungren represents part of the Mother Lode, including Calaveras County. Lungren says he expects Bush´s remarks to be bold in regards to these key issues.
President Bush has suggested that younger taxpayers be allowed to divert some of the money they pay into Social Security into personal retirement accounts. Bush is also expected to taut Sunday´s election in Iraq as a success in the fight against terrorism. Lungren will be in the District this weekend and says he´ll meet with Air Force personnel as well as other constituents.
