The names of 2 of the victims of yesterday´s triple fatal crash on Highway 108/120 have now been released.

40 year old Twain Harte resident Christie Gean Cadona was driving a Toyota Wagon westbound on the busy highway Tuesday when her vehicle was struck head-on by a Honda Accord going the other direction. The other victim was 49-year-old Suzette Michelle Dupee of Big Hill. She was the back seat passenger in the Toyota wagon.

Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Lieutenant Roger Dittberner has the family of the Stockton man has still not been notified because they live in Mexico and officials are having trouble getting in touch with them.

Lisa Degitz was a passenger in the Toyota and survived the wreck with major injuries. She is recovering at a Modesto hospital.

CHP Officer Tom Wills says the accident happened when the driver of the Honda went onto the right shoulder of the roadway, over-corrected and crossed over into the path of oncoming traffic. The accident closed the highway in both directions for about 2 hours. Motorists were detoured onto Highway 49 and Highway 120 until the scene was cleared.

Wills says investigators believe the driver of the Honda may have been speeding when the accident occurred.
