Fifty Acre Blaze Destroys Structures And Grassland

Mariposa County, CA — CDF officials are investigating a fire that is responsible for about $75,000 in damage to a property on Penon Blanco Road near Granite Springs Road yesterday.
CDF says the blaze destroyed a Barn, two out buildings, two vehicles and 50 acres of grassland.
The call came in just before 4:00 in the afternoon.
Nine engines, two water tenders and 45 firefighters responded to the scene along with two bulldozers, four air tankers and three helicopters.
One of the homeowners was airlifted to Doctors hospital in Modesto while the other was transported by ambulance to Sonora Regional.
The extent of the injuries has not been specified.
The blaze was declared contained at 9:30 in the evening.
