Angels Camp, CA — The deadline to enter items to be featured at the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee is fast approaching. The entry form deadline is Saturday, April 4, 2026.
The 2026 Fair Theme is “Let Frogs Sing and Freedom Ring” to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary. There will also be a “Happy Birthday America” contest. Exhibitors are invited to enter any project that showcases their love of country and celebrates America’s birthday. Entries may reflect red, white & blue themes, American history, symbols, traditions, or what freedom means to you. The entries will be split into a section for exhibitors 19 and older with a $1.00 entry fee and a second, free one, for youth and teen exhibitors.
All entries must have been created and produced by the exhibitor within one year of the opening date of the Fair. All classes, unless otherwise specified, are open to residents of Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, and Tuolumne counties. Exhibitors may provide a one-page narrative to display with entry. Entries must be delivered to Tom Sawyer Hall Tuesday, May 5th from 12 PM to 7 PM or Wednesday, May 6th from 12 PM to 8 PM. The sub categories of the Happy Birthday America Class are: 1. Hobbies & Gifts 2. Textiles 3. Baked Goods 4. Preserved Food 5. Arts & Crafts 6. Fine Arts 7. Photography 8. Any Other, Identify. $250 will be awarded to the winner in each category.
For youth & teen there are several divisions: Preschool through Kindergarten, 1st through 3rd grade, 4th through 5th grade, 6th through 8th grade, and 9th through 12th grade. The Classes are the same as the adult division.
There will also be a 2026 Jr. Weld It! Competition with young metal masters invited to compete. Entries due April 4, 2026 the entry fee is $10. There will be two divisions:
Novice (Ages 8–12) those who are learn welding skills through fun hands-on challenges
Advanced (Ages 13–18) for those to show off real welding talent in the Junior Weld-Off.
Create projects, test your skills, and compete for awards while gaining real-world experience.
Entry Forms and the wine for the 2026 Calaveras Fair Professional Wine Show are due to the Fair office no later than Saturday, April 4th, 2026, by 5PM as detailed here.
