Glencoe, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department has eradicated 3,473 marijuana plants in the Ponderosa Canyon area near the end of Rich Gulch Road.
Investigators say the plants range in size from 3 to 9 feet and they believe the grow site was connected to the marijuana growing operation they busted last month in the same area.
The latest eradication brings the total of marijuana plants destroyed this year to 11,690 plants. That number exceeds last years total by more than 200 and investigators expect the plant count to rise in the next two months.
