Mountain Springs Developers Reveal Master Plan Revisions

Sonora, CA — Developers of the Mountain Springs Community are making public several changes to their master plan.

Tuolumne County residents will soon be receiving a brochure in the mail outlining the changes which range from an increase in open space and public trails, revised housing density and infrastructure.

Mountain Springs Operations Manger Ron Kopf says the brochure is the result of a recent listening tour to obtain public input. He says the summary is a part of an ongoing commitment to keep the residents of the county involved and informed of the development process.

Kopf adds that the revised plan balances public concerns and significantly reduces the number of homes in the community, provides affordable housing and designates almost half of the project as open space, parks and recreation.

The development´s Economic Impact Report is expected to be completed next year before going before the planning commission and the Board of Supervisors.
