Two Fires Light Up Calaveras Over The Weekend

San Andreas, CA — A vehicle fire sent crews from the California Department of Forestry and San Andreas Fire Protection District to Pool Station Road early Friday morning.
It took a half hour for crews to extinguish the flames. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Also crews from CDF and the Copperopolis Fire Protection District battled an escaped debris burn on Jaquima Road in Copperopolis Saturday afternoon. About 1.5 acres of grass and oak woodlands were burned.
