Security Guards Held Hostage In Chico

Two security guards at a hospital in Chico were released unharmed after being held hostage for a little more than an hour last night.
A spokesman for the Enloe Medical Center says the guards were taken hostage at gunpoint around 9:45 by a Chico man who became angry he couldn´t see a patient.
The spokesman says the stand-off ended when two officers convinced 34-year-old Christopher Berry to drop his weapon and give himself up.
Chico police expect Berry to be charged with false imprisonment and assault with a deadly weapon.
There were no injuries in the incident.
