Big Box Requirements On Supes Agenda

The Tuolumne County Board of supervisors today explore requirements of the recently-passed Big-Box ordinance.
Currently, If a developer wants to build a store larger than 60-thousand square feet, they apply for a county development agreement. Today, supervisors will decide if that agreement needs to include an review of the economic impact a new project would bring.
In addition, Supervisors will be considering fee increases today. Service fees in the Public Works and Community Development departments might be going up… along with fees in the Environmental Health Division .
If approved, the fees could add $600,000 of revenue a year to the county coffers.
Today´s meeting gets underway at 9 a.m., at the County Administration Center.
