If this afternoon you see more cheerleaders along Washington Street than you´re used to, it´s for a good cause.
The Sonora High School Basketball Cheerleaders are collecting donations for their family in the Adopt a Family holiday program.
“There´s only 16 of us, and we want to give them as good a Christmas as we can, so we´re raising as much money as we can to buy them Christmas dinner, presents, all that kind of stuff,” says cheerleading coach Andrea Tomley.
She also says the cheerleaders plan to visit local day care centers this season.
