Californians have shattered the record in voter turnout.
State and county elections officials are reporting that eleven-point-seven million people cast votes in Tuesday´s election.
And that number is expected to rise in days ahead as they keep counting.
The previous record is eleven-point-three million votes set in the November 1992 presidential election.
State officials believe the count will top out at about 12 million voters.
