SBC Phone Rates To Increase

It looks like your phone bill is about to increase.
State regulators met today in San Francisco today and voted to allow S-B-C Communications to raise the rates it charges competing carriers to lease its lines.
S-B-C´s wholesale rates will now increase by roughly 20 percent.
Consumer groups and competing phone companies opposed the increase.
