Business Owners Need Emergency Plan

Sponsored by:

The business community has been slow to put emergency plans in place in the advent of a terrorist attack.

So says George Segarini, president and CEO of the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce says their organization´s research has shown there´s not a lot of help out for business owners.

“Our research has turned up the fact that there really hasn´t been too much done on the business end on what employer´s responsibilities are at this point in time,” Segarini said.

Federal and state government has no requirements for employer regarding an attack, he added.

Segarini says the chamber is working with the area State Office of Emergency Services to help businesses develop a emergency plan.

Segarini is our guest on Sunday´s Mother Lode Views program. 9-30 a.m. on KVML.
