Police Warn Schools About An Attempted Abduction

Sonora Police say a young girl on her way to Sonora Elementary was able to escape when a man tried to abduct her this morning. Police Chief Duane Ellis says the girl hit the man and ran off. The suspect is described as a white male in his late forties, six feet tall and just over 200 pounds. He also has dirty brown shoulder lenth hair and a brown mustache and beard. Sonora Police ask you to notify them or the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s office if you see anyone acting suspiciously near a school.
