Sponsored by:

Authorities have released the names of the victims in the early morning shooting and murder in a Jamestown apartment yesterday.

Tuolumne County Lt. John Steely says the murder victim is 34 year-old Donald Graham Hopkins. Steely says 29 year-old Melissa Berry, also a resident of the apartment, was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

Deputies made the discovery just before 1:30 a.m. yesterday morning after responding to a 911 call at apartments on the 10000-block of Preston Lane.

Steely this morning says no other information is being released at this time. He says the condition of Berry is not known this morning either. So far no motive has been uncovered in the shooting. This is the county€™s second murder of 2003.
