Laci and Connor Laid To Rest

A small-town Central Valley cemetery now holds the bodies of Laci and Conner Peterson. The two were buried yesterday in the San Joaquin County town of Escalon. The pregnant 27-year-old Peterson and her unborn son disappeared from their Modesto home last Christmas Eve, and set off a months-long search that ended when their bodies washed up in San Francisco Bay. About 250 people attended the services where family members released a pair of doves. Not among the mourners was Laci Peterson´s husband, Scott. He remains in Stanislaus County Jail on charges of murdering his wife and son.
