Man Hunt Continues
Tuolumne County Law Enforcements authorities say one man is now in custody and another still at large this morning after the men shot at a Bureau of Land Management ranger in the Red Hills area west of Jamestown Monday afternoon.
Authorities continue the man hunt this morning.
Sheriff´s Lt. John Steely says the unidentified BLM ranger was not injured in the shooting. The two suspects fled on foot into the Red Hills area.
Authorities say they have recovered a weapon believed used in the shooting, a 2-inch Smith and Wesson revolver. Some roads in the region, including Red Hills Road and Old Don Pedro Road, from Chinese Camp to J-59, could still be blocked off today as authorities search for the second suspect..
