No Fireworks In Tuolumne County

A reminder as the long Fourth of July weekend approaches, that private fireworks are not allowed in the city of Sonora or in Tuolumne County. Fire Marshall kary Hubbard says that includes the so-called “safe and sane” variety, which are more carefully designed than other fireworks. Hubbard says they´re still too risky in the view of local officials. Last week several local retailers pulled the product from their shelves, after being made aware of the local ban.
