Five C-130-A planes have been grounded by the National Interagency Fire Center while safety of the air tankers is evaluated. The C-130-A is the same model that crashed in Walker yesterday afternoon, killing all three aboard. The five air tankers are part of the center´s fleet of 43 contract planes, most of which are newer C-130 models. An agency spokesperson says it will take at least two days, and maybe through the week, before the inspections are complete. Meanwhile, the four military planes that were fighting fires in Colorado, newer C-130-A air tankers, are also grounded while the agency decides if a critical incident stress debriefing is needed for pilots and crews.
