Davis Pushes MTBE Plan

Governor Davis is receiving praise for his plan to eliminate the use of MTBE in California´s gasoline. The idea that Davis had was to end the use MTBE by the end of 2002. The governor has the support of the major fuel supplying industries in Califnornia, and they are all prepared for the necessary changes for consumers. Ten of thousand farmers do worry that they have invested in ethanol plants which would face severe economic hardships if the ban is extended.
