Expect another scorcher today. A heat wave blanketing California is expected to last through Friday. Sizzling temperatures had residents and businesses cranking up the air conditioning yesterday prompting managers of the state´s power grid to declare the first Stage One power alert of 2002. That meant the state´s supply of extra power exceeded demand by just 7%.
