The Bakersfield woman arrested on suspicion of causing a 50-thousand acre blaze that´s burning out of control in the Sequoia National Forest could be arraigned as early as today. Authorities say the woman is cooperating. A spokesman for the Forest Service says the woman went into a store Sunday and said she was cooking hot dogs and her camp fire blew out of control. Ranger Judy Schutza says the woman didn´t have a permit for a campfire. The fire is completely uncontained and is spreading in three directions. It´s threatening some of the largest trees on earth. More than one-thousand firefighters and 12 air tankers are battling the blaze. They´re trying to save the largest and oldest trees, and spare 200 homes that are threatened by the advancing flames.
