Fire Prompts Ag Disaster Zone Plea
Sponsored by:
Tulare County supervisors have asked Governor Davis to declare their county an agricultural disaster zone as a result of the McNalley wildfire.
Farmers and ranchers have lost grazing land, plus an unknown number of cattle. The fire continues to burn, but is now in a region where it does not threaten buildings or old-growth redwoods.
The California Cattlemen´s association says its members are still assessing the damage to their operations.
