Three Fires Contained Quickly

Fire fighters made quick work of two vegetation fires this morning and a structure fire this afternoon in Calaveras County. A fire involving about a half acre of grass and a couple of repair sheds at the Glory Hole Marina was contained within about 10 minutes, after air and ground crews responded. About 10 minutes before that a quarter acre fire near the La Contenta golf course was quickly contained by a couple of ground units and a bulldozer. The structure fire was reported just before 1:00 on the 2400 block of Country Club Drive and Blak Oak Road. CDF and Ebbet´s Pass Fire Protection crews contained the fire within a half an hour. All three fires are under investigation.
