Rally Against Forced Drugging Bill At Capitol

A rally is planned for Monday, September 16 at the State Capitol protesting the passage of the controversial California “Forced Psychiatric Drugging Bill”, AB 1421, by the Legislature. The forced drugging bill is now with the Governor for his signature or veto. The demonstration will take place from 11:00 until 2:00 on the North Capitol steps in Sacramento. AB 1421 would enable police or mental health workers to force someone onto psychiatric drugs or to keep them in treatment. The bill has been touted as teh solution to the problem of random violence committed by the “mentally ill”. Psychiatric watchdog groups are calling for an investigation into the bill´s author, Assemblywoman Helen Thompson´s financial connection to the psychiatric lobbyists.
