SCC Guard Arrested For Child Molestation

A prison guard at the Sierra Conservation Center in Copperopolis is in custody on child molestation charges. Authorities say he could face additional child pornography charges.
Calaveras County Sheriffs investigators say 46-year-old Neil Alden Leash, a correctional officer at the prison on O’Byrnes Ferry Road, was arrested Tuesday afternoon at his apartment in San Andreas following a warrant search of his home.
Authorities say deputies seized computers, tapes and other evidence of adult and child pornography from his residence at the Hillside Apartments.
He was booked into Calaveras County jail and held on $1 million bail. The investigation is continuing.
