Fire Crews Contain Blaze

Calaveras County fire crews helped fight a 7-acre vegetation fire along Highway 26 near Highway 88 in Amador County near the Calaveras County line Tuesday afternoon. The fire has been contained.
Firefighters were using 6 air tankers, 4 helicopters and 10 engines in their battle of the blaze that broke out just before 2 p.m. and was burning in a very hard to reach, roadless area.
