Fire officials battling a one thousand acre brush fire in the Klamath National Forest in Yreka say they hope
to have the blaze contained by tomorrow.
The blaze started this week when a backyard barrel of burning trash ignited brush and quickly spread
through the dry fuel.
The blaze is spreading north in steep and rugged terrain. No structures have been threatened and no reports of injuries.
