Congressman Admits Romantic Relationship With Intern

For the first time, California Congressman Gary Condit has told investigators he´d had a romantic
relationship with Chandra Levy. Once again, police are saying California Congressman Gary Condit is not a suspect in the disappearance of former Washington
intern Chandra Levy.

In his third interview with Washington police and FBI agents, Condit acknowledged what he had not in two earlier meetings: that
his relationship with the 24-year-old Levy was more than a friendship.

At a news conference, D-C police official Terrance Gainer would not discuss the
details of the 90-minute interview, which took place Friday night. Gainer said Condit was fully cooperative, answering every question he was asked. Gainer
stressed that police still don´t know what happened to Levy, who has not been seen since April 30th.
