The state Air Resources Board is set to vote on an air pollution cleanup plan for the Bay Area. But federal
clean air officials say it doesn´t adequately address smog problems.
The plan includes programs to reduce vehicle and industry emissions.
The
E-P-A is hoping the board will request changes, and then the E-P-A will review it.
San Joaquin Valley officials also are expected to urge the board to
impose stricter requirements to curb the smog that blows into the valley.
